Each member of the Washington Private Duty Association is committed to improving the quality of their agency by upholding high standards of care, conducting business in an ethical manner, and supporting their employees. We believe that by coming together we can educate the public and governmental agencies about private duty home care and improve the quality of individual agencies through education and best practices.

WAPDA members enjoy these benefits:

  • Being part of the only statewide organization in Washington dedicated to the needs of private duty home care agencies
  • Receiving our newsletter with regular features on regulatory requirements, best practices, agency news, and more
  • Networking opportunities with other Washington State private duty agencies
  • Learning from those who understand what what it takes to run a successful private duty agency
  • Staying current on changing state laws and regulations
  • Participating in the Annual Conference at a reduced rate

How Do I Join WAPDA?

Join WAPDA as a Full Member: Full voting membership in WAPDA Membership is open to any Washington State licensed home care or home health agency in good standing who is a member of the National Private Duty Association (NPDA). Membership costs $775/year, which includes $250/year for the state chapter membership. We encourage all agencies to join NPDA because of the many important additional benefits that full membership offers. To join NPDA and WAPDA, go to the membership application section on the NPDA website.

Join as a Friend of WAPDA:  A Washington State licensed home care or home health agency may become a non-voting Friend of WAPDA (FOW) without NDPA membership. A Friend of WAPDA has all the benefits of membership such as discounts and listing on the website, except the ability to vote for or become a member of the Board of Directors. Membership costs $250/year. To become a Friend of WAPDA, print out the Friend of WAPDA Application and follow the directions.

Join as a Business Affiliate: We also welcome the participation of interested individuals and organizations who would like to stay in touch with WAPDA as a Business Affiliate. Business affiliates are not Washington State licensed home care agencies but provide services and support to the greater eldercare community. Receive regular informational emails, our bi-monthly newsletter, and the members discount to the annual conference. Membership costs $250/year. To become a Business Affiliate, print out the Business Affiliate Application and follow the directions.
